Proyecto Amistad is a community of Christians throughout the US and Mexico who join resources to provide Christian education in northcentral and central Mexico. It was formerly associated directly with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and its Presbyterian Border Ministry with the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. The ministry currently partners with Presbyterian Border Region Outreach and the San Pablo Theological Seminary of Merida, Yucatan.
Volunteer Recruitment and Training
The ministry provides professional training to our volunteers with the Club Amistad children’s program. We have over 150 active Mexican volunteers who teach, feed, coach, and care for children in our Club programs. We also have administrative volunteers using their gifts to support the ministry in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, newsletter development, fundraising, and program oversight.
Board of Directors
Proyecto Amistad is governed by a binational and volunteer Board of Directors and abides by published bylaws. Contact Proyecto Amistad for more information.
